Passion Projects.
I love to make things! Outside of school and professional projects, I create evening gowns, costumes, floral arrangements and just about everything in between! Here are some of my favorite multimedia projects I have been a part of.
Educational stuffed animals
The project aims to help children with Congenital heart disease be able to understand their treatment through play, and gives parents a tool to understand their child's care. I assisted the PHD students and cardiac practitioners research by constructing 5 individual dolls and corresponding accessory bags to aid in the research. I also redesigned the doll from the original prototype I was given to make it look more "kid frendly".

The original design I picked up (Left) vs the updated design I made (Right) I ended up with 5 total of the design on the right.

Italy- Fashion Show
While studying abroad in Sicily, I was assigned a project to make art from found objects in an abandoned convent. To my delight, I found some old fabrics, which I sewed (mostly by hand) into a series of garments. I also directed a fashion show of my garments for my classmates and the local community.

A second project I completed in Italy was a peformance art, immersive dinner party. The menu was curated with ingredients representing the many years of cross cultural influence on the cuisine of Southern Italy. My role was to create an ethereal tablescape, and despite having a $0 budget for flowers, I was able to rescue some flowers being thrown out at a nearby hotel to create my tablescape.
